It is sad to say but most times a man or woman is judged in life while here on earth by the money and riches one possesses. This is an attitude cultivated by satan and produced by our evil flesh. We are covetous by nature. We strive to envy and enjoy the envy of others. In God's view, the true riches are in Himself.....and in His Son Jesus Christ. When present when a loved one dies, do you see anything leave the body in addition to the soul of the person? No. You don't. All wealth stays behind yet the soul goes on to it's eternal destination of either Heaven for the true Christian or hell for the unsaved. Will one impress God with riches beyond the grave when God Almighty owns the entire universe? Will one be so foolish to face God Almighty without having the riches of His Son, The LORD Jesus Christ, and believe that the same applause and awe of man will be God's reaction? Will God sell Heaven for money when the entrance to Heaven and eternal forgiveness cost Him His Son's life? While God may indeed in His Sovereignty allow one to have lots of money as a blessing to be used for The LORD Jesus' work, it is to be kept in mind that satan, the enemy of God and the enemy of our souls, does also reward with money those who will serve him, forget God and The LORD Jesus Christ and lead souls to an eternally burning hell while headed to hell themselves. Satan offered The LORD Jesus the riches of the entire world if He would but bow down and worship him. Let us take heed that we do not fall down to the devil's feet by our own covetousness and pride and worship the devil by serving money instead of devotedly and faithfully serving The LORD Jesus Christ. The price of rejecting The LORD Jesus' eternal salvation is too high. The price is an eternity screaming in the lake of fire. Put all of your love and devotion upon The LORD Jesus. He is The Treasure you were placed on earth to find. Having Jesus makes you the richest of all for The LORD Jesus Christ is God's diamond on black velvet!!! Let us never place anything (or anyone) ahead of The LORD Jesus!!! If we miss having Him....THE Treasure....we will have missed EVERYTHING!!!
