This section of our website, written by Bonita Ann (Logsdon) Richie, is dedicated to offering the comfort of The LORD Jesus to our fellow brothers and sisters in The LORD.  Jesus is WITH  you, Beloved.  He has PROMISED to NEVER leave you.  He has PROMISED to NEVER EVER forsake you.  Let His precious Holy Spirit speak comfort to your hearts in the pages of this section. (The glossary of pages for this section is listed in the left margin of this section's home page.)  We wish to extend to you the comfort from Jesus that He has extended to us.  Scroll on down this page and find joy and encouragement in "Our Father Keeps His Promises" then take time to explore the rest of this section.  We love you and our Father and LORD Jesus loves you, too!

OUR FATHER KEEPS HIS PROMISES!!!

Our precious LORD and Savior Jesus Christ warned us of what we would have to go through in our lifetime when He said that we WOULD have tribulations in this world.....BUT He also PROMISED us that we could be of good cheer for He had OVERCOME the world.  This promise of our LORD is recorded in John 16: 33.  He knows that we live in a very wicked and evil world.  He knows also that we live in a sin-cursed world wherein dwells all kinds of sickness and diseases and griefs and losses and heartbreak.  He knows of the hatred that the world has for Him and His TRUE children.  He knows of the terrors of persecution for His Name sake.....He died under these same terrors.  His heart broke just as our hearts break. 

He tells us plainly in John 17 that we are not of the world just as He is not of this world.  In John 17, Jesus is recorded praying a glorious prayer to God The Father and Jesus asks God to keep us from the evil in this world.  He did NOT ask Him to take us OUT of the world......for you see, Beloved, you and I have a job to do for God while we are on this earth....we have a Savior's message to proclaim while we are here....there are are souls damned and going to hell that need Jesus' message of repentance and salvation.  We must take comfort that ALL of these trials and heartbreaks and griefs and losses and sorrows and tears will be over and forgotten when we pass over to Heaven with Jesus.  GOD HIMSELF is going to wipe away EVERY tear from our eyes!  When we get to Heaven, we will then know as we are known just as God's Word tells us and because of this, we will then understand why God allowed us to face bad things in life.  At THAT point, we will understand and THANK Him for EVERY thing we faced in this life here on earth.  He tells us in Isaiah chapter 55 that His ways and thoughts are NOT like our ways and thoughts......yet we have a hard time realizing this.  We, as created beings, try to figure out the mysterious ways of our Creator as though we think He is like us.  We try to fashion Him into the fashion of a man.  While God did indeed subject Himself to becoming flesh and dwelling among us here on earth through His Son Jesus Christ, He was still GOD!  He was not a mere man as we are.  Since our Father loved us enough to do this for us for the sole purpose of saving our souls so that we could forever be with Him, can we not trust Him with all that we understand and with all that we do NOT understand?  We as true Christians are ALL going through tribulations and trials in our lives for we have an adversary (satan) determined to distract and stop us with assorted trials and heartbreaks. Satan's theory is that if he can distract us, he can silence our witness of Jesus to those he has blinded from Jesus' message of repentance and eternal salvation. Satan also wants to see us bring reproach upon Jesus' Name by back-sliding into sin due to our interests in self rather than humbling ourselves under the almighty hand of God. 

He spoke his theory to God in Job 2: verses 4 and 5 when he had the nerve to tell God "All that a man hath will he give for his life.  But put forth thine hand, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to Thy face."  Satan does indeed approach us through our flesh in sorrows and persecutions and sickness, etc. but he knows he does NOTHING except what God allows.  He was blind enough to think that he was crucifying Jesus on the cross by his own evil design but it was GOD Who was allowing this in HIS PERFECT PLAN in order to provide a sacrifice for our sins through the death of His own Son Jesus Christ. Jesus knew what we know (if we will BELIEVE God's Word!) that ALL things (good AND bad) work together for GOOD for those who love God and are the called according to His purpose....for God foreknew us, God predestinated us, God called us, God justified us.  (Romans 8:25-31)  Since GOD is FOR us, who can indeed be against us?  Since GOD is FOR us, who can indeed defeat us?  Satan can steal none of our joy.  For him to get it, we must GIVE it to him. Who among us wants to do that??? NONE of us!!!

LET'S HOLD ON!!!!  LET'S TRUST OUR FATHER WITH OUR LIVES!!!!  HE TRULY DOES LOVE US!!!!  WE WILL BE THANKING HIM FOR THAT LONG AFTER THIS LIFE IN THIS OLD EVIL WORLD IS OVER THANKS ONLY TO JESUS!!!! 

LET ALL OF US PLACE THE FOLLOWING PROMISE OF GOD OUR FATHER DEEP INTO THE TREASURE-BOX OF OUR HEARTS.............IT IS RECORDED FOR US IN ISAIAH 43: 1-3a.

"But thus saith The LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed thee, O Israel, FEAR NOT; FOR I HAVE REDEEMED THEE, I HAVE CALLED THEE BY THY NAME; THOU ART MINE.  WHEN THOU PASSEST THROUGH THE WATERS, I WILL BE WITH THEE; AND THROUGH THE RIVERS, THEY SHALL NOT OVERFLOW THEE; WHEN THOU WALKEST THROUGH THE FIRE, THOU SHALT NOT BE BURNED; NEITHER SHALL THE FLAME KINDLE UPON THEE.  FOR I AM THE LORD THY GOD, THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, THY SAVIOR."

OH THANK YOU, LORD JESUS!!!!!
